2008 Line Up
With two full music stages, 2008 will be our best line up yet. We still have a couple of acts to add to the list, but here's a taste of the quality and variety of acts you can expect.
Lizzy Parks
Lizzy describes herself as "just a country gal from Devon" but she is now living in London and touring all over Europe.
"Said to bridge the rather extraordinary gap between artists as diverse as Bjork and Ella Fitzgerald, Lizzy Parks is a true rising star."
- Ten4 Magazine
Her impressive CV includes Ronnie Scotts, The Glee Club, The Symphony Hall in Birmingham, The Jazz Café, The National Theatre, The Royal Festival Hall and Glastonbury 2007.

Namaste
Four sensitive young metrosexual men from Croydon / London who together form an almighty alliance simply named Namaste (nam-ass-tey). In the last year they have been signed to an Austrian Independent label called Crater8Records and have recently finished recording their debut album Outside is Endless which is now available for purchase. The band are currently rehearsing and residing in the beautiful city of Vienna.
Pete Taylor
Pete is a 27 year old singer / songwriter hailing from the South West of England. He has been writing and performing contemporary acoustic tracks since 1996. Recent winner of the 2007 BBC Gloucestershire solo folk performer award.
"...an enigmatic singer / songwriter. Fluent and moving..."
- Mendip Folk Funk Alliance
The Incontinentals
Glastonbury veterans, festival heroes and "the maddest band in the world". This will be an an unforgettable set.
They play a mix of folk, blues, jazz, rock and Irish reggae in a style that is reminiscent of Spike Jones, Bonzo Dog, and Monty Python. Mandolin, banjo, guitars and trombone are supported by washboard and a motley collection of recycled kitchen, garden and toilet objects. Their 'wardrobe' is something to behold.
"That’s one of the most enjoyable acts I’ve ever seen here."
- Joe Strummer at Glastonbury

Jamie Griffin
This singer / songwriter has a wealth of mellow tunes. His chiming guitar and assured vocals are perfect for a sunny afternoon.
Based on the Isle of Wight, he also plays live regularly around England and Europe, notching up 255 gigs in 2007. He played the Isle of Wight Festival and Isle of Wight Folk and Blues Festival (of course), as well as touring Switzerland and Germany.
Apollo XIII
Big band - big sound, and there are even more of them since this photo was taken. This local band will fill the stage with their powerful brass-driven sound and get you dancing into the night. They play a mix of blues, soul, R&B and rock classics with a few interesting surprises thrown in.
Blue in Green
A three piece indie outfit from Stroud, these boys play with bags of energy. Don't be surprised if you start to dance!

Ed Goulden
Ed is only 16 but with a voice beyond his years. He recently appeared in a showcase gig at The Space in Stroud.
The Silence inc
An electronic rock project. All original songs using synths, drum sequencers and guitars. Think Depeche Mode meets Pink Floyd via Peter Gabriel on a dark day and you may be half way there... You might have seen them at Frocester Beer Festival in 2007.
Ben and Ru
Original acoustic music, all the way from Stroud. For 10 years Ben and Ru have been writing songs inspired by early blues, folk and country. Ben plays the guitar and Ru plays blues harp and the mandolin. With every performance you can tell how much they enjoy sharing their raw, earthy material. Don't miss them.
Arabiah
A visual treat awaits... belly dancers accompanied by traditional instruments such as the Darabouka, Dohlla, Oud and the Rik. They have a passion for Middle Eastern music and dance and since 2001 they have been blending other influences from North Africa, Spain, Turkey, Europe and the British Isles to create something truly exciting. As well as performing on the acoustic stage they will be running dance and percussion workshops in the Family area.
Static Abuse
Static Abuse are a young band from Wotton-under-Edge whose songs are awesome
"Make Up Your Mind" - I've made up my mind and I like what I hear! This band shows great promise and I look forward to hearing more from them in the future.

And more...
We have also kept some slots on the Acoustic Stage clear as open-mic sessions. Last year this unearthed some real gems and judging by the enquiries we are already getting from artists, expect some late surprises.
