Leeroy Thornhill (Ex-The Prodigy)
To say we are excited about booking legendary ex-member of The Prodigy; Leeroy Thornhill, is probably the understatment of the year. Life in the music world started for Leeroy Thornhill at the Age of 15, DJing in small bars and house parties, playing HipHop, Electro and Rare Groove. By the end of the 1980s it was all about the UK Rave / dance scene, this started a musical revolution that spread across the globe. It was from that scene the next step of his musical journey began.The Prodigy. Starting in 1990 he had a ten year whirlwind journey, going from from Raves to Rock stadiums,headlining the biggest music festivals in the world and touring with some of the best artists of a generation. Picking up new influences and inspiration throughout the whole experience.
In 2000 he left the band,concentrating on his DJing and his own productions, Releasing an album under the name Flightcrank before moving on to vocal duty on two albums for UK artist Hyper, a Smash Hifi album followed . Leeroy has worked with and remixed for some amazing artists along the way, Lee Scratch Perry, Moby, Finley Quaye, Adamski, Darren Emerson, Maxim, The Dub Pistols, Empirion,and Dr Doom (Kool Keith).
In 2018 he began to release on Get Hype Records.. His DJ sets at other festivals like Camp Bestival and Mucky Weekender have been absolute highlights for members of the Nibley team, with plenty of new tunes and a few classic Prodigy tracks thrown into the mix. Friday at Nibley will be back to the underground, with no musical limitations, playing music that makes people Rock
