Nibley 2024 Announcement

March 2024

Nibley Festival has been at the heart of our community since 2007 and we are 16 this year.

From the moment we started in a small tent on the cricket pitch we’ve provided the opportunity for local voluntary organisations to generate valuable income that, in many cases, is their only fundraising opportunity during the year.  Donating the money the festival raises is in our DNA. Over the lifetime of the festival donations have totalled nearly £400,000!

We have survived Covid, power failures and huge rainstorms !

It will be no surprise that its increasingly difficult for small independent festivals to operate with rising costs against a backdrop of the cost-of-living crisis. We know we’re not alone and many festivals are in a similar situation, and several have sadly cancelled or have decided to call it a day.

What does this mean for Nibley Festival?

With great sadness we have to announce that this year will be the last Nibley Festival.  This hasn’t been an easy decision and all of our volunteer team are totally heartbroken.  We invest a huge amount of time throughout the year so that 5,000 of you can have a fabulous weekend partying on the farm. It's a real community event and we are very proud of what has been achieved over the years.

What can you do?

Simple, come join our 16th birthday party!!  Turning 16 is special so we are throwing everything at making this the best Nibley ever.

Our line up is amazing, across our 4 stages. All our free family entertainment is booked. There will be amazing food and we have some great things planned for our bars.  We have even planned as far ahead as scheduling in the England Euro quarter final tie. We still remember the last time the Euros and Nibley coincided!

What would really help?

Buy your tickets now.

We have had steady ticket sales. But don't delay, we are sure this announcement will spark a huge amount of interest and everyone will want to join us one last time.

Remember we have added new ways of paying for your tickets when you check out.

Finally...

We plan to smash this one out the park. We owe that to everyone who has played, helped, volunteered and attended  Nibley Festival.

Yes we are sad, but not too sad to go out in style !

Thank you for all the love and support over the many years.

From, and on behalf of the Nibley Directors, Management Team, and volunteers past and present.
